How to welcome an 11-foot Fraser fir into your home:


1½ ounces Junipero gin
1½ ounces fresh red grapefruit juice
½ ounce fresh lemon juice
½ ounce rosemary simple syrup*

Shake the ingredients with ice. Pour into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a grapefruit segment and a rosemary sprig. *Dissolve ½ cup of sugar in ½ cup of hot water. Add one rosemary sprig. Stir. Remove the rosemary after 30 mins.



1½ grated sharp cheddar cheese
4 tablespoons butter, cut into small cubes
¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon cayenne powder
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
1 tablespoon milk

Set oven to 350. Combine all ingredients and knead into a ball. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out to about 1/8-inch thickness. Cut the dough into 1-inch squares. Transfer them to a baking pan. Poke holes in them with a fork. Bake for 12-15 mins.
