NEW YORK SOUR 

2 ounces rye whiskey
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1 ounce simple syrup
1/2 ounce dry red wine

Vigorously shake the whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup with ice until the shaker is frosted. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Gently pour the red wine over the back of a spoon onto the drink.
